For me that doesn't work.  I live alone and unfortunitly I don't know how to tear walls down, build a cabinet into the wall, let alone drill a hole in the correct spot the first time.  In fact, when I try to hang a picture on the wall with a hammer and nail, I end up with 3 or 4 holes.  Luckily the picture covers them up, until someone takes it down for some reason or hopefully, it doesn't fall down.  Not to mention the cost of some of the ideas they have.

So I started with my own closets. I have 3 small closets, 1 walk-in and 1 small reach in closet in the master bedroom and 1 reach in closet in the guest bedroom.  I cleaned out my closets and when I finished with my closet design I was able to combine everything from my 3 closets into 2 which left my guest bedroom for open storage. I couldn't believe it.  I added drawers in the guest closet, got rid of a double dresser, got rid of the bed and night stand which I replaced with some space saving bedroom furniture and it's like I have added a room.  I didn't have to do any major construction, had very little mess, and my costs were very low.
