Hello and welcome to closet-design-resources. I am here to help you find more functional space and get more organized. I thought closet organization would be a great place to start.

My interest in interior design and organization started back when I was selling homes.  I was amazed at the things people could do with there spaces.  Some of these homes looked like a small cracker box on the outside, but the inside had been transformed into a lovely open, spacious home.  I, too lived in a small condiminium at that time and was able to put a lot of what I saw to use.  Hence, my interest in space planning and organizing.

Although I had not intended to go down this path, I soon found my career changing.  I moved to Florida and soon found myself working for one of the best known custom closet companies in the business. I was impressed at the intense training program I had to go through just to design a closet. It wasn't as easy as I thought.  My interest in closet design got me more curious in Interior Design and Space Planning, so I decided to expand my knowledge and go to Interior Design school. It seemed to be a good idea at the time.

I changed jobs to work closer to home and work more in the field of space planning and organizing. My new job included closet design and space planning for home offices, Murphy Beds, as well as designing entertainment centers and other pieces of furniture.  I have found my job to be very rewarding. I love working with people and going into their home to help create more space.

It turned out that I could not keep up with my work load and school so I had to quit school for the time being. I am looking forward to going back some day and finishing up my classes. But for now I will stick with what I know best, space planning and closet designing.

So why am I writing an e-book on something that I do on a full time basis? This may seem strange, but I have seen several people who have had their closet designed or have tried to do it themselves, only to find out that all they did was waste money because the did not create more space or was the space functional for them. So I am here basically to see that you don’t get ripped off.   The "Ultimate Design Resource Guide" will tell you what you need to know to save yourself  time and agravation.

I have done the research for you so you can decide what is best for you. Keep in mind “things are not always as they appear”. You may think that doing it yourself will save you a ton of money, but will it really? Maybe – Maybe not.
