- Why should I hire someone to
design a closet when I can do it myself.
You
can do it yourself. Maybe you are a carpenter or a handy person that
can do this, however, can you design it so it is functional? That is
the key, knowing how not to over design or waste space.
- I
have been cleaning out my closet and decided I want to get a custom
closet done. Can I hire a professional organizer for this job?
Yes,
of course, however, be aware that not all professional organizers have
been trained in this particular field. Check their
credentials
for closet design training and also who they will use to do the work.
You may not like the product that they normally use.
- What is Melamine?
Melamine
is a fiberboard that is put together with wood chips and melamine glue.
Furniture companies have been using this for years to make their
products. It is more economical than real wood and very durable.
- How do I know what custom closet
company to use?
The
best thing to do is get a few estimates. Once you see each design make
sure they have what you need in the closet and not a lot of extras.
Don’t just choose the least expensive. Check out references and ask
others you know that have had there closet done about the service they
received. Maybe even the BBB.
- My closet is odd shaped and has
angled walls. How do I design an angled wall?
My
recommendation on an angled wall is to have a professional look at it.
Depending on the closet, they can be tricky to work with.
